It's really very hard to be top rank in Google, you have to strive hard to make things impossible turn to possible.

Like everybody else says, it's the traffic (in the VERY beginning).

Traffic gets really easy once you start building up social media marketing, like twitter accounts with 1000s of followers related to your niche and Facebook traffic.

Then it's just a matter of playing the waiting game with Google for SERP.

For most people, I'd say generating a steady supply of targeted traffic. Another is staying focused and not getting distracted (easier said than done when you're on the internet all day).

I beleive the most difficult thing in starting up, is finding out who and what the scams are, and who is telling you useful information. It seems people on the internet will tell you ANYTHING you want to here just to make a few bucks off you.

I will second that. Initially I went to a lot of noob forum posts areas and I had the misconception that article marketing was useless. But reading the general marketing section of dp helped me a lot.

Hardest parts for me were finding a niche, and then driving traffic to that niche. If you have the right niche, and the right traffic, the rest is gravy. You'll be cruising around in a Lambo in no time.

I'd say conversions are more difficult then raw traffic...

The most difficult thing for me from past experience is finding out how to balance the different types of marketing you do or can do for that specific product or business, (eg. affiliate, CPA, etc), there are a lot of possibilities to choose from.

The most difficult part, in my opinion, is succeeding!
