A little quick background, I have about 10 sites right now make money with google adsense. I've heard in the past affiliate sales far surpass adsense revenue when done right. Are people using ppc ads to send traffic to their set up affiliate pages or mainly seo tactics to grab traffic from the search engines. Is this something I can easily put up on my sites I have now or should I be creating new niche sites for the affiliate products themselves? If you have any articles or general info on the best way to get started on this that would be awesome!
I'm not sure if this is the most common way, but it is one of the easiest. A lot of people will run affiliate ads on their websites and blogs where you'd normally see Adsense ads (like in side panels for example). You can make money this way, but the trade off with any advertisements is that you're directing traffic away from your sites.
i've built a number of specific affiliate sites from scratch and my method is to go after seo traffic. so i pick keywords that have low competition but high traffic, then go after them. i will also normally try PPC for each site, but often the return isn't worth it, which is why i focus on getting them ranking high in the organic results, which then brings in long term free traffic and commissions. LOTS of work in the beginning though...
