A proxy, in website terms, is a website that you use to browse other websites anonymously. The benefits of this are that you can get around filters at work/school etc and that no one can trace what websites you're going on.

I think proxy is just setting your gateway on IE tool option. I just know that proxy also use domain too. I used ibpass.net to hide my internet surfing
