The name "Google Dance" is often used to describe the index update of the Google search engine. Google's index update occurs on average once per month. It can be identified by significant movement in search results and especially by Google's cache of all indexed pages reflecting the status of Google's last spidering. But the update does not proceed as a switch from one index to another at one point in time. In fact, it takes several days to complete the index update. During this period, the old and the new index alternate on www.google.com. At an early stage, the results from the new index occur sporadically. But later on, they appear more frequently. Hi, The name "Google Dance" has often been used to describe the index update of the Google search engine. Google's index update occurred on average once per month. During an index update there was significant movement in search results and Google showed new backward links for pages. However, in mid-2003 Google started to update it's index continuously. It appears that, still, there has to be an update of the complete index once in a while and during this time new backward links are shown. But, because of the continuous update, the effects on search results seem to be rather insignificant. Regards.
The Google database exists on many servers spread throughout the world. A large update of the Google databases can take several days.A Google dance is when the Google servers are out of sync with one another.

google dance is a process when google is spidering the internet, and indexing or ranking the sites ..
In a few words "google dance" is real and it's a natural recalculation of the relevance for a given page, ie:: you have one page with a keyword "antivirus download" usually this page for that keyword in on the first page on google, so during google dance it can disapear from the entire search results for a few days then later it could be on the 3rd page and in a week it can be on first page as usual. This dance affect more to new sites or sites with low relevance, to avoid it you need more age and relevance "natural backlinks" Hope it help Claudio
