Hey, I just wanted to see what you web designers are charging per hour? I only want to hear about hourly rates not about any other pricing.
I don't have a huge clientbase therefore I can't charge as much as some others, but I charge around $10.00 per hour right now. The more well-known you become and the larger your portfolio, the more you can probably be more picky about your jobs and only take higher paying ones.
You're not going to believe this, but talking about prices is actually against the law (price fixing) here in the US (and I believe Canada as well). Anyway, if you want some good advice on pricing Web work, hang on a few and I'll get back to this thread with some links to check out. In the meantime, NEVER base your price on under-cutting the next guy or on the number of clients you have. Base your price on how much you think YOU are worth.
