It tells Google's bots not to follow the link with that tag. In other words, you don't get "link juice" from nofollow links, however, Google officially stated that they take into consideration even some of the nofollow links. Nobody knows which ones.
First of all, you don't need so many ?-s, OK? Second, I can't answer your question because I don't know what you want. Third, read some basic SEO guides on backlink building that can simply be found on Google.
A simple Google search would have given you all the information you needed.... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=rel%3Dnofollow
I recently read something on that. I can't understand why google would make a tag specifically not to pass PR, then turn around and say, maybe? I have yet to find anything specific on what exactly google said. If anyone has a link from google, I'd sure appreciate it. Why would they take nofollow into consideration? Is it because they created a monster and need to lessen the nofollow mania? What does "take into consideration" exactly mean? Stephen C
If you don't want to give back link then you can apply no follow. So you can give that link to rel="nofollow". Through that you can save PR juice.
no follow is a tag by which google not follow, it means it doesnt build a quality backlink and doesnt give any link juices.. But on the other hand gives a site traffic ,,
If Google officially stated that they do take some nofollows into account didn't they just pretty much null their entire reason for coming out with it in the first place? Why did they even bother?
In google you will not have backlink if it is no follow. Google only consider do follow to help your website in have a backlink. I think only google don't follow which is no follow but in other search engine no follow is also helpful for your site.
Google will follow the no-follow links but only if the website has qualified for it. How they decide which websites will qualify is unknown.
Right, and their saying that they take them into account on any condition at all was a mistake IMO, it's only going to re-invite all the spam that nofollow was designed to curtail.
If you want to know which websites have nofollow links then install the firefox add on SearchStatus. In my google webmasters tools I have a few nofollows listed in links pointing to my sites, Im not sure if that means they consider them backlinks or not.
