What is the FASTEST way to get a Huge amount of traffic into my website

Lets share some ideas.

My suggestion:

Post in related forums with signatures. People will tend to click on signatures if they are interesting enough.

 

If you can not post in proper forums.

What has this got to do with adsense?
Not a thing....

 

Advertise on every possible venue you can think of (including adwords, buying text links, etc)

myspace (buy bullitens)
wikipedia links (only valid links)
link exchanges with web sites in your niche
tell a friend, then tell them to tell a friend, etc

Personally i stay far away from forum signatures or anything like that.

I think people end up with someone hating them or whatever - so then they steal their content / click bomb their advertising program.

 

Make blogs!
It helps me get more visitors!

 

If you have more than one Web site, cross link the two sites (if they're of similar themes) so they can send traffic to one another.

 

Yeah was cool when someone linked to my affiliate site from Wikipedia (wasn't me).

Also, you can buy heaps of useless traffic from StumbleUpon for $10.

Adsense is all about traffic - the number game ... so with more traffic = more money

Be careful about Myspace Bulletins - plenty of info about the danger of this in other threads.

Lots of hits (4000 uniques in half an hour), no conversions.

I actually never looked into how much traffic the Wiki link generated - I was just chuffed to see my article in the links section. Think they probably pulled it when they realised it was commercial though.

 

There's a few ways out there to get traffic. Whether or not it is "huge" or "fast" depends on you.

- Buying bulk traffic from some 'traffic/hits reseller. Usually untargetted traffic, so you're wasting time and money, and, if you're using adsense, violates the TOS in possibly a number of ways.

- Buying targetted traffic, AdWords Arbitrage/other arbitrage system. Depends on how muc you spend, how much traffic the keyword you're running the ad for gets in general, how good your ad is, and a few other variables. Either way, often spendier but much better results than point-blank bulk traffic.

- Posting in forums as mentioned, as long as you don't spam. Traffic depends on the forum, and how interested/how many people there are to click your sig link.

- Quality Link exchanges with other sites, provides some clickthrough traffic, assuming you're not on something like "link_page_83.htm" where it's just a linkpage swap deal. Traffic depends on the site, your link location and text, and visitors, etc.

- Link on a popular site, such as Slashdot or Digg. I would wager this is the fastest way to get a huge amount of traffic to your site, since there's been posts here about people being Dugg and adsense closed their account down due to all the immediate traffic they received. This could be harder than it sounds, though...

- Search Engine ratings. I would say that aside from getting a popular link on SlashDot or Digg or something, this is the best/one of the best ways to get long-term, high amounts of traffic. Doing good SEO and experimentation won't be fast per se, but can result in 'huge' traffic if done right.

-Excessive Black Hat techniques, spam, Myspace Bulletins, etc.. Might work for a little while, until your site gets added to blacklists and banned from Search Engines and everything else. I don't recommend it...

I'm sure there's lots of other ways of course...

Kind of - Adsense is all about targetted traffic, ... so with more targetted traffic = more money.

If your target audience is for, say, gamers, but you have tons of traffic from people looking for pet care tips, it won't really matter much. I found this out the hard way

 

yeh but sometimes when I see people with 1000 - 3000 uniques per day .... wow ... how did they do it ...

 

I'm not sure for each site, but I would imagine just building it over time, adding good content, making it a user-friendly site, smart link exchanges, good SEO for good SERPS (not too hard to get a ton of uniques if you have good SERPS for a highly-searched keyword, etc. I imagine that just making a good site and popularizing it over time would be enough to get most any site to this level of traffic.

 

Use Adwords, Adcenter and buy all the cheapest keyword and redirect them to your page

 

Tried looking at Adwords today - but it seems expensive ... CPC minimum $0.17 ....

 

Pay the insane fee to get your site advertised on Yahoo's homepage.

 

Lolz ... yeh that would be SUPER!!!!! but ... as you said .. INSANE!!!

 

Do something offline as well...
