    visit places online where affiliates gather. seems too simple doesn't it.

    You can also join a network and pay to have your program broadcast.

    Some of the best methods are the following:

    1. Get your program listed in an Affiliate Programs Directory
    2. Use Affiliate Program related forums.
    3. Maybe put your offer in one or a few networks as they already have an affiliate base.

    I think you just started :) Other method not mentioned here is too look what are most favourite programs in forums and users signatures... than you see what is pushed...

    You can sign-up in Clickbank and other similar sites and have your product listed. There are a lot of people in there looking for a good affiliate product so if your product is good then it will stand out.

    Make sure that you offer complete support to your affiliates once they are in. Provide banners, links and ready-made articles they can use for their promotion.
