what is the dollar conversion rates in Rs

    HI friends,

    1)Hi suppose if i transferred $100 to my SBI account, than what will be the conversion rates? if $1=46 Rs today, Will I get 46 x 100=4600 Rs balance in bank my account?

    2) Will paypal automatically convert dollar to Rs while transferring it to my bank account? Is there any conversion fee for this?

    The foreign exchange rates offered by Paypal for conversion are way below the official conversion rates as they do seem to cover their charges from this difference.

    As of today , the official rate is 45.7577 while Paypal offers the same at 44.2747! :eek:

    Also, if your withdrawal in is less than Rs.7000, you are charged Rs 50 extra... as fees for this transaction as well! :(

    you dont get the internation conversional rate when transferring money out of paypal. paypal makes money off conversion in addition to transaction fees and will pay you 3-5% less than what the bank rate is

    Conversion rate change on daily basis. You can check conversion rate before withdrawal in paypal as well.

    Well whenever u withdraw paypal will tell u the amount it will send you .. even in the email the amount is written

    Yes, paypal conversion rate is too low. I have withdrawn some amount a month back. It was less than the standard conversion rate.
