Hi guys......I'm share this question with all......I hope you explain us.. what is the different multimedia and web design ??????? ... regards..... sarika
Actually they are very similar but each with it's unique function. Users may see them as exactly the same thing but being a designer, I differ between the two as in multimedia is the use of text, images, video, audio and graphics. It can be in the form of an interactive online course where clips of animation are viewed or video instruction is given for example. Web design is a process of combining individual elements of design (lines, shape, texture, color, etc) to create a visual layout containing the multimedia elements in order to generate or develop a working web page. I hope that makes sense to you. In an extreme basic explanation of what I mean is... web design would be the canvas that you would paint on. It's the painting that everyone sees, the lines, colors, shapes, textures, etc... But if you were to insert a video or a piece of animation or audio clip into it, that would be adding the multimedia into the painting. Does that make any sense? I hope so. At the same time, I will explain another difference between web design, and web development. Web design can be done with Photoshop and then placed into a program like say, Dreamweaver to make it web friendly. However, web development is taking that page and making it work. In other words... I'm a designer and don't know much where the development is concerned. So with my clients, I design a site and after they approve it, I pass everything on to my developer who then adds the shopping cart and makes it functional. He adds the forms and all of the other features my client asked for that was above and beyond the initial design of the site. Hope all of this makes sense and is useful to you. Take care.
multimedia is to do with different types of media i.e. images, logos, sound, video and web design is designing websites.
