link:mydomain.com .. this is used for finding backlinks to your domain ... websites which are linking mydomain.com on their website ..

try using yahoo search for link:mydomain.com .. It might take time for your backlinks to come on google if u have any...

searching link:mydomain.com is not a reliable way to search backlinks. Try using other free services.

link:mydomain.com means how many back links pointing to your website. and
site:mydomain.com means how many pages of your site has been indexed. As you mentioned link:mydomain.com, its zero result, you should not worry about that because you can now do work on back links.

As long as your pages are indexed in Google your site is not penalized. site command gives the pages of your site that are indexed by Google and link command gives the backlinks, but Google generally hides your backlinks so there is no need to worry.

    Hello,
site:domain name = It'll show how many pages are indexed from google .
link:domain name = It'll show how much back inks you have from google.

So that doesn't mean a index web page should must back links.

    Hope you understand :)_

With URL Forwarding you can use your domain as a website address which directs visitors to any existing website on the Internet. You can direct visitors to your website or another company's.

As you might all ready know from the other posts, Site:YourDomain.com is for your indexed pages on Google. Link:YourDomain.com is for the backlinks that go to your site.
