What is the different between .Com .Ws .Biz .Me? Is this going to affect one site's ranking on search engine? Is .com easier to rank well compare with .ws .biz and others?
I'm not sure it will effect your ranking, but it is always easier for me to remember a website if it is ".com"
Hi angiestarr, thank you for your reply. I have just bought a .ws domain but not sure whether if it can rank well like .com .net or .info...I worried that after i did a lot of backlinks to it, but it cant rank better than .com.
It depend on how you build link for your site, it can rank better than .com, but I think it can not sell better than .com Good luck
These are just different top level domains. Yes, .coms normally rank better than others and they are also easily remembered.
To get a .Ws .Biz .Me to rank over a .com .net or .org will take a lot of extra effort. All extensions are not equal in the eyes of google. If you have bluewidgets.com you will have a much easier time getting to the top of the serps than bluewidgets.ws.

No.. A dot com will not rank better than other extensions. It is the sites content that ranks a site, not the extension. I just searched "unblock" and got... #1 .org #2 .com #3 .me #4 .us #5 .org Don't worry about the extension, worry about the content. Cheers James
Ranking depends on how much well rank ur keywords are in SE and quality backlinks. .com is for commercial use, .biz - business about .me and .ws i m not sure seems they r new extensions. but if u will use .com extension then if ur visitor will forget ur extension then he will try first .com , then .net , so .com and .net are most popular extensions. Trust me, it does. Its much easier to get your site ranked in your country's google if you have the right extension. I've even proved it with one of my own sites. I live in the UK and I have a site that is a dot com. It ranks higher in google.com than google.co.uk
If you are basing that on what you see at the top of google on most searches, that could merely be down to the fact that most serious people who want a website and do seo buy a .com I find a lot of people buy other extensions, but only to sell on or keep to gain value.
