I am looking to use a blog for income and to build traffic to my website but am confused about the difference between a post and a page. If I want to put articles on my blog to get comments on do I put them as a post or a blog? O also want to know what a blogroll is and the benefit to them.

    Hey Cliff,

A post is each individual piece of content that you put on your blog. The term blog refers to the "site" where you post your entries as a whole.

Just one piece of constructive criticism from me to you before you start blogging. Don't make your site a "billboard" for one particular company. Use it to give your visitors useful information that isn't company specific that way you will come across as a helpful resourse and not just another person trying to sell them something.

Another thing that you can do with your blog is link to other blogs that have content that your readers may find useful.

Don't forget to ping your blog.

    I hope this helps,

    Sheree

A post makes up the content of your blog. You post often. A page is usually meant for static information, i.e., Contact page, About page.

The blogroll is a way of linking to other sites that interest you and thus may interest your readers to check out.
