This is something which has always confused me... what exactly is the difference between the results shown under "The Web" and "Pages from ...." in Google geographical search results... Kindly let me know about the same
Hi kailyn_morgan, When you visit www.google.com, you are redirected to the country from which you are accessing the side (unless u change the settings). Now, there you will find two options WEB and Pages from XYZ country. If you check box the WEB, google bots will search from around the world. But if u check box PAGES from...google bots will search only from the respective country!
thanks for the knowledge .. could you also let me know as per what are the Google alogos to be a part of the searches in a particular "Pages from XYZ"
If you want to rank highly in a google for a particular country - google.uk. or google.com.au, or whatever - it helps to be hosted in that country, and/or to have good authorititive backlinks on sites from that country.
Web - Address on the World Wide Web (Uniform Resource Locator or URL) Page - All Web sites are a collection of electronic "pages." Each Web page is a document formatted in HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) that contains text, images or media objects such as RealAudio player files, QuickTime videos or Java applets. The "home page" is typically a visitor's first point of entry and features a site index. Pages can be static or dynamically generated. All frames and frame parent documents are counted as pages. Hope that clarifies you...
This I already know.. Have you actually answered by question exactly is what i am wondering??? I wanted to know the difference between the results that we get "from the web" and "pages from Uk" under "google.co.uk" is what exactly I am looking at...
