What is the difference between site: mysite.com & site:http://www.mysite.com?

    The 2nd query isn't going to return anything without "www" in the URL (most of your indexed pages don't have www on the URL).

    Am I doing anything wrong with my SEO? Should I be worried about anything?
    I did see many results does not have www on url but does takes me the correct page when I clink on it…

    I guess your URL without the www would have a higher PR as compared to the one with www.

    No, difference at all, www is the more general trend for url display but some sites use both sitename and {http://}sitename along with the redirection funda. but actually both of them will actually take you to a same page.

    try opening rediff.com with and with out www. you will see no change.

    for that www. hardly matters

    You need to make sure your pages are only available at one url. 301 redirect the other versions to the main url otherwise your links and PR get diluted.
