What is the difference between SE like Google, Yahoo, Ask, Bing, etc. ?

I have some problem with traffic to our company's website.

Here is some traffic statistics from SE:

Google - 200-300 visits / day
Search.com - 10-20 visits / day
Yahoo - 1-10 visits / day
Bing - 1-10 visits / day
...

Is there any way to increase traffic from other SE than Google?

 

You need to remember that Goog is the most widely used search engine so most people would see many more hits from google than the other search engines. I think google have over 75 percent of the web search market.

 

The last time a survey was done, it was revealed that Google captured a solid 70 % of the search engine traffic, Yahoo came second by a far away and Bing was even farther. So Bottom line ideally should be that you shouldn't be missing out on any search engine traffic but each search engine has a different way of looking at sites. What Google may consider important, other SE might ignore. So if you had to make a choice then stick with Google.

 

Like unknownpray mentioned, Google gets a solid 70%. The major difference between the search engines are how they index the site, and how they provide a better search experience for the users. Google wants their users to easily find what they are looking for, which is why they also post ads related to what you normally search.

 

Agreed with all the above & this does not show that users do not exploit Yahoo, Bing or other Search-engines. It basically means that you am only optimized pro Google and not rankd any-where on Yahoo. Although almost 80% of the Internet visitors use Google , There is a set of 20% of users utilizing Yahoo search.

I agree that most of people use Google, but i know a lot of people who use other search engines all the time, without going on Google, so it's better to optimize your website at other SE as well.

As others have pointed out - focus on google. There is a lot more information available regarding google's algorithms and ranking criteria than any other website. This is due to the desire to rank well in google in order to capture 70% of SE traffic.

Over 70% of the search traffic on the internet comes from Google, the other search engines are just there to complete the percentage and of no real use if you ask me. So the main traffic stream comes from Google, any thing that you get apart from that is a bonus.

 

According to your stat, it shows that your site is ranking in google and through that you get more visitors on it. It also concluded that mostly of your visitors uses google as their primary SE. Maybe you should also get more backlinks to other SE and make sure your site is a SE friendly because users are not only using 1 SE. They can have more if they want.

I read your problem, now more user search any kinds from google search engine so according to you message your visitor 200-300 from google but from yahoo and bing 1-10 ok no problem please clear me your target country. but you also know google users
