A while ago i was asking what is the cheapest dedi or vps on this forum....i found that rackspace.com is by far by far the cheapest cloud servers that will give everything a dedi will give and it is cheap for the time being, then i'll get cdn next year, if u go over here http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/cloud_hosting_products/servers/pricing/ u see that they are offering windows servers, linux servers or red hat servers...windows servers suck....i know that red hat is linux......so what is the difference then?
I'm surprised extremely that you found RackSpace to be the cheapest, they tend to be the most expensive..
I changed my mind don't tell me that these 2 companies are not good bro http://www.micohosting.com/vps/ http://vpsnoc.com/VPS_Specials.html
http://vpsnoc.com/VPS_Specials.html is simply a reseller for Burst.net (http://www.burst.net/linvps.shtml). You can find cheaper prices elsewhere. Never heard of the other one. To answer your original question, RedHat is just a flavor of linux. Looks like rackspace uses RedHat on their cloud servers.
well, where exactly can i find cheaper than burst.net? I remember seeing some site which offers a decent vps with 1TB of bandwidth for 4$/m i forgot the website's name....I've never heard of burst.net before but i googled it. did you ever find any cheaper vps? I don't need cpanel, i know free onces, i basically can handle an unmanaged vps
OH no no.......i know about burst.net, I'm the one who told my friend about it last year...he needed a vps....i forgot the name, but now i remember the design.
What I'm saying is that if you go with a reseller of Burst.net, you're going to pay more than if you go with burst.net themselves, most likely.
okay.......of course i'll pay more coz that's why resellers exist.....but i didn't know that vpsnoc.com is a reseller for busrst.net, I know now thanks 2 u D:
by comparing the price of burst.net/linvps.shtml and micohosting.com/vps/ you could easily tell that micohosting.com is a reseller of burst.net
You could see if Virpus has what you need. virpus dot com. I had a VPS with them for awhile. Never tried thier cloud offering though.
i saw it, it's good.... it's pretty much identical to burst.net with more hard disk space, i could choose it but may i know why you left them? aren't they good? or what?
take a look http://billing.micohosting.com/cart.php?gid=3 i'm going with them...identical to the others but i get 1 TB of bandwidth for the same price, and the dedi are cheap...38$ as a start.... may I know what is the name of your site and how much traffic you have if you don't mind
