PPC = pay per click, where a company provide you mostly text banners, which shows ads in a text format, and when someone click in that, than only you get paid CPM = cost per impression, where a company provide you a graphic banner in most cases, no one has to really click in them in order for you to earn, all you need is unique traffic, and you earn every time a unique visitor comes to your site. Difference its your choice and traffic type which one works good for you, in PPC with just 1-2 click you might make same amount of money with what you earn in CPM with thousands of impressions
