Hi Experts, What is the difference between match exact phrase( " " )and match exact term( [ ] ) only? We often encounter such terms when adding new keywords to the existing/new campaign. I need some expert advice on the above question, may be a small example would improve my understanding. Thanks
hi As per my knowledge exact phrase means gives u related long tail keywords,& exact term gives exact terms used by people on search engines. thanks, Leenam
Exact match is easiest to understand. If your keyword is [round plastic widgets], this is an exact match - word for word, exact same order, no variations - whenever someone searches for 'round plastic widgets'. If they typed 'plastic widgets round', that is not an exact match and neither is 'round plastic widget' in the singular. Phrase match means that the search matched your keyword but there were other words before or after. So if I searched for 'red round plastic widgets', your ad might trigger for the phrase "round plastic widgets". The words must also be in same order, word for word, no variations such as singular/plural.
