What is the difference between link building and indexing

Hi I have put a bit of time into my site and I am wondering what is the difference between link building and indexing. I use the site meter estimator and it shows quite a few links and only one page seems to be indexed. And also I applied for bloggin ads I dont know how can my site be cached. I am guessing being indexed and cached will bring the value of my blog up which is my signature

 

Building link means get backlinks to your site.

Indexing means your site listed on Google search database!

and google is getting a copy of your web pages when it visits your page and it runs queries for searching on these cached (or indexed) pages

 

so how can I get indexed because I am indexed on one page but I did a lot of link building or do this happen after I get out of google sandbox but I am also indexed on one page on yahoo

 

Its really easy to indexed by Google just do link building for your site.

 

Link Building is a technique use to create backlinks while Indexing means a number of your site pages listed in search engine.

 

yup.. i guess you know by now what they are..
but they are related.. in a little indirect way.

there are more chances of getting your more pages indexed with more back links/link building.
