If you want to rank well on both, you have to create a rich content website and get lots of high quality links.
No one can really say what the real algorithms are, however, we can atleast make sure that the Onpage and Offpage optimization are done perfectly
Yahoo SEO ? Who cares? People are looking forward to google and there are hardly many who want to know about where they rank in yahoo or any other search engine apart from google.
There are not much difference between Google SEO and Yahoo SEO but Google is very famous than Yahoo, Google have more source of data and information than Yahoo. I think Google is the best SEO.
Yahoo prefers quality and paid first that's why its down!!! And Google is simple and will show your work easily.
I will say Google weighs in on quality links and Yahoo a bit more with onpage optimization and links.
Create yahoo webmaster for your website track from there and check out status. You can get some idea how to do it.
The two biggest search engines have different approaches to determining the relevancy of the page ... The main difference is the following: Google utmost attention is paid to the number and quality of back links (PR), and Yahooo emphasize the quality of on page optimization (comparison of key words, title, content etc). So be careful not to to exaggerate the density of keywords in the content (good for Yahoo, bad for Google). Some optimum would be 7-8% for the main the key word. Then, yahoo has a paid directory listing, and Google a free dmoz directory. Both are very important in determining the importance of the site.
i think both seo's are some what common as we have to do almost same things in that but people usually focus only to rank well in google
Well, there seems definite relation between the Google algorithm and Bing Algorithm as I found website doing well in bing once they have achieved top most position in Google
Google is now the biggest search engine and thus working for it will definitely make the keyword to rank in the other search engines.Yahoo search engine has its own policies and Google has its own.. Thus to create backlinks in search engines is their own policy and ,thus, going in according with the Google is best.
-To optimise for Google think of the quality of your whole site, how many deep links do I have, are all my pages fully optimised, does PageRank flow to my most important pages, am I building a link profile to all my important pages? -Yahoo is simply concerned with the relevancy of a single page and PageRank and domain authority play a minor role if any at all.
SEO is not different for each search engine. Its a common process for all the search engines however slight differences are present in various search engine algorithms. As chinasa told Google does not pay much attention to meta tags descriptions and keywords however yahoo takes both into consideration. I suggest you to build SEO activity plan by keeping Google as a main source of traffic and rest search engines will also pay traffic for you.
Google and Yahoo both have entirely different algorithm. Google gives more importance for back links while Yahoo loves content and text. In case of Yahoo if you have your meta details and content with enough keywords your site will rank well in Yahoo
The major differnce...Google gets more traffic...Yahoo less. In my opinion, focus on the platform that gives you more eyeballs.
As per new Google Panda updation it believes the quality first. And as if you have quality and important info on your website then you surely get high rank in google. As for Yahoo I don’t have any idea about any particular structure. But to get good rank on any search engine try to get good backlinks and provide quality content.
The methods of SEO is almost the same just that they target different site while If you look for Yahoo SEO then you do need to build your link in Yahoo related site like Yahoo Answers or site that high index by Yahoo. If you focus in Google SEO then you need to build Google Backlink and get high index page in Google search engine.
