Adwords is where you pay to have ads.

Adsense is where you get paid to publish ads.

If you want to earn money you can put Adsense on your site. Google pays you.

If you want to advertise, you have to pay them. This is Adwords. The ads appear in search results and on people's sites.

This is not my relevant answer, if you don't want to provide information to someone who is new to online business then please don't just simply reply to thread by wasting your precious time.

Adsense = publishers - publishing the ads
Adwords = advertisers - serving the ads

Adsense can be customized by using channels. I use channels to specify which webpages contain information for each state. Example www.Elder-AbuseCa.com has a different webpage containing support information for each state. A law firm may want to place ads targeting Wyoming residents, and would do this by selecting the channel representing the state of Wyoming. Channels also help you categorize by page placement. If an advertiser would like their ad placed at top, middle, bottom, left or right side of the page.

Hope this help. The best way to understand anything is to try the system.

I am not blaming you for asking such a question.

As a newbie, you will have lot of questions in mind and you have the right to ask. I do agree with that.

But once, when the thread is made sticky or added to FAQ. more newbies will be knowing what is what and the posts like this will be no longer needed.

Not Rellevant???? All of the information you need about adwords can be found on the adwords site. I would say that is pretty gosh darn rellevant? Wouldn't you. Lets see.

    On the main page

    You create your ads
You create ads and choose keywords, which are words or phrases related to your business. Get keyword ideas

    Your ads appear on Google
When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the search results. Now you're advertising to an audience that's already interested in you.

    You attract customers
People can simply click your ad to make a purchase or learn more about you. You don't even need a webpage to get started – Google will help you create one for free. It's that easy!

    Looks pretty rellevant to me.

I guess if i was looking for information and specs on a new Honda it would be kind of irrelevant and stupid to go to Honda.com now wouldn't it

Simply talking if you an advertiser, you use AdWords to promote your site. If you are a publisher, you use AdSense to monetize your site.
