What is the difference between "a post" and "a page" in blogger?

    i am a google blogger and updating posts regularly, but i have seen one button for "new page" near to "new post" button. What is the use of that "new post" option? i am not well-versed in websites? pLease explain.

    a post is an individual post or article under a cetegory. a page is a static page. for example, a blog sometimes has an about us page which is done on a page. but an article on the other hand is a blogpost

    Pages are static and usually constitute of important links like About Us, Contact Us etc. Pages are usually listed in the menu of the site while posts are sequential articles with latest on top and going down sequentially.
