Hi all , I am new in affiliate marketing ..i am earning through adsense so far but now i want to try with affiliate marketing please any one can clear me the difference between a lead and a sale? I show many merchant are paying for leads and some of them for sale so please let me know what is the actually difference and which one is much easier to convert?
A lead is just like a pre-sales question where you could possible get a sale from. And the sale is your ultimate goal.
linkforu, Keep in mind... There is 3rd scenario, which is Per Sold Lead. A sale does not occur upon the submission of the lead (data), but rather when the lead (data) is actually purchased. Example: For us (LeadFlash) -In regards to our Payday, Auto & Debt offers: The user enters their information into our form directly or through the publishers form (if they are hosting it) & in real time the lead is shopped to our network of lenders. If the lead is purchased by the lender, the publisher receives commission. -=Chipmunk=-
CPA = cost per action. If you are getting a high payout, this action is usually some sort of sale or subscription, and usually harder to convert than a bona fide lead campaign, where only information is collected.
