I have a product that is a perfect fit for a list i have. Problem is, even though they are opt-in, so many of them share an email domain name, it will be difficult to send emails without the sender-address triggering a block from the receiving server(s). Surely someone here has had to deal with this and has a work-around? Any ideas would be welcome and appreciated.
Be very strict and not sending unwanted Emails and setup Opt-In campaigns at Email marketing services and be targeted with your products...
Hi CeeBee, I wish I could tell you how to handle that situation. But all I will say is, please be very careful with anything that has to do with customers' email. Folks can be very, very "touchy" these days. especially when it comes onto the use of their email property. As you pointed out: "Problem is, even though they are opt-in, so many of them share an email domain name, it will be difficult to send emails without the sender-address triggering a block from the receiving server(s)." That might just be your answer to stay clear, and not following through with your intention, if you can help it. At least, try to find another approach. And I can hardly help you with that because I am, myself, only now learning some vital information about internet marketing on a whole (although I have been online for so many years). Anyhow, I completely agree with jazzyjmnote's comment. Be care, CeeBee. Best of luck with you project. Alodieanne
I think promotional emails are viewed very cynically, if at all, these days. Email marketing is probably best used for retargeting customers back to your site and that's about it. If you have a product, I'd suggest using a strategy based around content.
