What is the cheapest quality host?

I just lost articles from my blog since blogspot deleted my account. I am thinking of getting a host (cheapest quality host) that offers .com.
I just checked GoDaddy and check for domain name . I'll be getting troubleshootingrouters.com ($11.99*/yr). Is it okay?
This would be my first time so , I'm kinda hesitant to just rely on information from somewhere without consulting DigitalPoint Pros first.

i use Godaddy for domain and "deluxe hosting"

however, the hosting is often very slow at peak times, and i dont even get that much traffic

so be careful, google for reviews

Are you looking for a domain name or web hosting or both? I think the $11.99/yr packet that you're talking about is just a domain name an a directory listing, so you will probably need to get a hosting packet as well.

ztr3ngth is totally right, whatever company you choose to go with search for reviews first. There are a lot of providers out there, so make sure to pick one that has good customer support, and decent hardware that they don't oversell so that you can get decent speed even at peak times.

I would stay away from godaddy for hosting. They are the leaders when it comes to domains but I would not purchase webhosting from them. Even their website is slow to load :D give hostgator a try or some other good company known for webhosting

$11.99/year is only a domain name, you can't install wordpress with only having a domain name. You need a webhost provider.

Most webhost offers 1 Free lifetime domain name, and webspace.

Choose webhost provider wisely because it is for a long term blogging, the bigger and more posts you have, the more bandwidth it takes. One of my friend used Godaddy, but since it was slow, he moves somewhere else.

I have never used Godaddy so i have no idea how it is.

    Good luck.

I recommend you use namecheap.com to register your domain name. Godaddy if fine for domain registrations but definitely do not host your website with them. Look elsewhere for web hosting. Best of luck!

Don't forget to use a coupon code to get your domain with Godaddy for $7.49 instead of $11.99. Just search Google for Godaddy coupons.

I've done quite a bit of research on various forums. The consensus seems to be that Hostgator is one that you should definitely consider. I've been using them for several years. I'll get some downtime once in a while but usually minor issues. They have 24x7 telephone support which is crucial to me (the reps are generally pretty good at answering questions) and there is 24x7 chat and ticket support. I don't like their backup and restore system (which is also crucial to me) but I haven't found any host that has a better combination of services at this time.

I agree about Hostgator. Search for cheap coupons online to get started, then the monthly fee is very reasonable and they are reliable.

I would answer the question this way:
Register domains via Domain Name Registrars and buy hosting solutions offered by web hosting providers!

It's strongly recommended to keep separately domain and hosting. Godaddy is a reliable registrar but host, just don't risk with them

i recommend on bluehost and hostmonster for around $60 (cheaper than godaddy) you get free domain and great hosting with cPanel, have several accounts with them and very happy with the service, what ever you do do not host your site on godaddy, they have their own control panel which will make you work very hard to understand not to mention the speed problem with all godaddy hosting

If you really want cheap hosting, you can go for Hawkhost, with coupons I think you can get it for $20/yr. Also these days I am loving Froghost since they are giving unlimited everything, superb support and are cheaper than Hostgator !. You can sign up through my signature if you are feeling nice :)

I think that cheap is not good, but good is not cheap - you will get what you pay for!

"Cheapest" and "quality" are never came along altogether. If you want a cheap with reasonable quality then you may consider Hostmonster or local hosting providers in DP. Most of big hosting companies are come with more stable but they cannot give you that cheap price nor their price structure are flexible enough compared to small hosting company around here.
