use Godaddy. That's best seller for me. Promotion codes are best way to get discount.

For a domain less than $5 go with domainsarefree.com and then just transfer to namecheap or godaddy before the year is up. You can get a domain there any day of the week for just $3.95.

Thanks Ms. Eva, I had tried there before, and after searching for a domain name, it gave me an error page. I just tried it this time, and it worked. Must have just been server maintenance going on the first time. Also, however, they don't currently accept PayPal.

I can't order with a Credit Card, as my credit is bad, I couldn't get one if I paid em LOL! >_< I sold a design off the other day, so I just funded my Namecheap.com account and all is good! :D Thanks again, for posting about that domain registrant site though! I'll save it in Bookmarks, for whenever they DO accept PayPal. ;)

P.S. I should get to the bank ASAP though, get a debit card. I keep forgetting to do that!

I agree, if you find the $6.95 or so coupon for GoDaddy it's the cheapest. (if they still have those, it might have went up to above $7.00 now though). You just have to remember not to addon anything else during checkout, resist the temptation and you'll come out with a cheap domain. A free tip,

Once you click checkout, you will see tons and tons of offers, scroll to bottom and choose 'no thanks' or 'proceed directly to checkout' or whatever it's called option. :)

I don't know if I can even afford that "free tip" at the moment RickyRay... LOL! :p Nah, I'm kidding. I haven't slept yet and I'm running on numerous 24oz bottles of Pepsi... so yeah, I'm feeling a little wired lol. I think I did try that though, not selecting anything and then went to the check out page. If I remember right, it still was trying to charge me for normal cost of domain. When I get another $5 or so in PayPal, I'll try it again then! :D Thanks for that tip though RickyRay.

The easiest thing to do is get a pre-paid debit card. You can use them anywhere and you can even get them at Wal-Mart now =] You can re-load them at Wal-Mart or at Wal-Mart.com, which accepts paypal =] Poof! Your problem is solved!

    My vote goes to name.com

They were $5 or $6 per domain , now upto $9, but it looks everywhere the same (without coupons of course).

I prefer to deal with companies who provide only 1 service. Hosting or domain names. Not both. Much more safier.

Yeah, the next time I'm in town, I'm going to the bank to get one! I should have gotten one long ago! It would be so much easier for me. @Everyone else, yep, Namecheap.com is a good one! :D And after I get a debit card, I'm going to use that one Ms. Eva suggested to me earlier. LOL! :D

I dont think that cheapest is best. How much will you save ? I dont think you can make a big difference. Dont go for a rip-off, though

GoDaddy is now 7.99. I got the promo email from them yesterday. It says that I can forward the message to friends, so I will lay the promo code out here for anybody interested....gdp1203a....Put that in the shopping cart when you check out for the discount to be applied.

Or if you choose to get a SSL for any hosting account, you get the domain for $1.99. Their SSL certificates are pretty good, in my opinion.

Use GoDaddy with promo codes. Just Google "Go Daddy Coupons" or "Go Daddy Promotions." They always have deals.
