What is the buyer psyche during the holiday season ?

Sales have been very poor for me lately - So much so, that I have almost given up on CB completely.

Just before I FINALLY call it quits.. I was wondering if I am unable to quite figure out buyers psyche. I am sure people would NOT spend much money during the Holidays..everyone is saving up for Christmas..So, what IS IT that they would like to buy during this time of the year ? I mean, we dont have gifts up for sale on CB or anything..so WHAT IS IT REALLY.. That buyers are looking for ?

    Any insights ?

    Exactly...

People are not spending that much on digital products when holidays are coming up.. There is a certain decrease in sales during this period of the year.

It totally depends on what products you are selling. If you are promoting a book on Orchids for example, then now is the wrong time of year the market it. It does not neccessarily mean people tend to not buy digital products this time of year.

It is all relative in my opinion.

Depends on what niche you are in, I experience a increase in sales about this time. NOt sure people are gonna reveal what products they are planning to sell this holiday season mate you are best to do your own research, or give up on CB!

Hi - I do understand that no one reveals what they are promoting.. However, I just wanted to get a better understanding of buyers psyche this time of the year.. it is my first year promoting CB products so not really sure if sales are down the drain for everyone..or is it just me ? I guess it is just me !?

My sales have also decreased slightly. Is that seasonal or due to a lack of maintenance on my part? Who knows.

But I am also wanting to diversify into physical products and non-direct marketing (i.e. "non-salesly") niches, as well as reliable cash cows like Adsense.

But I wouldn't give up on Clickbank just yet.

I went on a site building spree in several of the popular niches: registry, solar/wind energy, etc. About 5 sites in total. This time, I will build backlinks to my site articles and also my EZA articles. I am not a fan of this but the landscape seems to have changed and it seems to be essential these days.

Let's see what happens. I advise you to give it a last shot. Spread yourself over several niches (say 3 to 5), fill your sites with at least 30 articles. Pump out 30 articles pointing to each site. Lastly, build backlinks.

Personally I hate doing web 2.0 sites and the like. I think I am going to try out combined spinning and distribution with either Unique Article Wizard or Article Marketing Automation.

Do I combine Adsense and CB? Not usually but on one of my affiliate sites I do. That reminds me to go check how much the Adsense made me. I have a feeling I've been making less due to the Adsense.....

btw I don't use cbproads, I use my own kind of "fake Adsense" that is just manual HTML. Gets decent click throughs.

My sales have reduced a bit, but I don't think it is due to Christmas. Most niches work fine in the holiday season but the conversions may get a bit difficult for some.

What about the idea of promoting your cb products as gifts during the holiday season? There are a lot of people that might love an awesome ebook for christmas. Just a thought.

Umm.. yes, quite a thought, though are these ebooks transferable ? I mean, I know no one checks and all.. but if you bought an ebook, you cannot give it away for free as per TOS, as far as I know ?

Obviously you can't give away any ebook for free if you do not have the giveaway rights.

There's tons of PLR ebooks stores that sell ebooks for as low as $0.99 ...

Go buy one and give it as a Christmas present to your subscribers..

Hmm, seems I am not the only one with low sales this period or it could be me more interesting in building other streams of income. I like rolf step-by-step plan.
