    Blogpost means writing around 300-400 words of content for a website. Many bloggers or link builders write for you and post it to high page rank blog sites.
    Ex: suppose there is a fashion site which has a PR 4 and if you want to place ur website in that fashion site then you need to create a blog post, which means to write a blog post of 300-400 words and post it. By this way you will get benefit of the PR4 or the website traffic.

    Blog posts can be useful if the blogs are of quality.

    If you want to get direct traffic to your website then you must integrate your blog to your website.
