What is the big deal with Duck Dynasty?

    Okay, maybe I am missing the boat, but why is the reality show "Duck Dynasty" so popular now? It seems to be the new, big thing, and I have never watched it. (I have watched and got sucked into Ice Road Truckers, though)

    Is it the characters? The location? Why do you or people you know watch the show?

    heh... it's actually the ONLY thing I watch on TV (literally)... I'd say it's the characters. :)

    That was how I got sucked into Ice Road Truckers and now Bering Sea Gold. Okay, I am going to have to watch it. At lease once or twice. I think they are in season five or something. I wonder if the older seasons are on YouTube or Hulu?

    Should I just start with the new shows or try and watch the earlier seasons...will I be lost if I start with the new ones?

    Season 3 just started... it's not an overall plot you have to follow or anything, so you pretty much can watch them out of order. Speaking of which, 2 new episodes on tonight. :)

    The fact that *I* watch it is crazy... literally my cable was out for like 6 months before I even knew (when I wanted to watch a football game). It's the ONLY thing I watch on TV (no joke).
