I have a website www.MyLinkCafe.com its very new and i am trying to find out how to promote it. I meen i dont realy know under what categorie this website fits b/c its has everything, all it is its a webpage full of discount links from all kind of stores. Can someone please take a look at the site and give me some advice? How would i describe the site in ads etc?
In that case, sorry to tell you that it looks like one for me. I think you should realize first what kind of visitors you are attracting, then you can think of ways to promote it and get targeted traffic.
You have to ask yourself this question: "Why would a person come to my site?". When you know why, you'll know who your customer is and you'll understand where to promote it. The sad reality,whether you want to hear it or not is this... untargeted Directories will only attract spam, and sites that are looking to just drop a link. I see no real value in what you have created so far. You have to understand your customer/visitors intentions and how you solve a need/want of theirs.
Well, i think your site can be modify and made as an resource hub for all needs. but you have to make it look very descent and with some useful instructions for users. for promoations, consider social bookmarking, even link exchanges can be helpful..
