There is no such thing as the best hosting. It depends on the requirements of the user.

This is also posted in the wrong thread. This is the BST section for sales etc. You want to post this in the general discussion area here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=122
You can try my hosting out if you like, and see if you think it's the best.

    I use dedicated boxes.

    1) Rackspace - by far the best support and service I have ever known online. The go the extra mile.

    2) The Planet - I thought these guys were great till I started dealing with Rackspace, I still do but they come far behind the levels of support you get when dealing with a Racker.

    Example ticket:

I have an issue on my box with XY and X

Response from the Planet - RTFM - that's not our thing so we don't cover it.

Response from Rackspace - have you considered using ABC as an alternative, it'll reduce the load on your server and help with FG and H. I've logged in and optimised A and B for you to work around the issue you were having, C can be fixed with either 7 or 8, which do you prefer? Let me know your thoughts and I'll either setup 7 or 8 to C for you unless you want to go down the ABC route?

Hefty prices but worth every penny. They are by far the best hosting company I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with,

Based on my experience, don't believe 100% what people said.

    Instead try it out yourself.

Do request free trial from the host before you buy to know more about the hosting.

I am always happy with hostgator and its online heal desk is always good for fast action ... It is little bit costly but good option....

You say you have tried many. Who have you tried and what did you like or not like about them?

If you are offering free hosting and earning a decent income, try using a vps and be your own boss.

If I ran a host (have done in the past) and someone asked me for a free trial I would say no, in fact I probably wouldn't be that polite about it as I personally feel that is taking the piss.

Would you go into a restaurant and ask for a free starter to check the chef can actually cook?

Would you ask a hotel for a free night to check the bed isn't lumpy?

Would you ask for a free glass of wine from that really nice bottle of red from 1972 just to see if you like the taste?

Why should hosting be any different?
