Wordpress is for blogs IMO. I think the best OS-CMS is probably a toss up between Joomla and Drupal. I prefer Joomla, others prefer Drupal. The learning curve for Joomla is a lot shorter, and there seems to be a lot more support for it. Everybody seems to be making mods. Then there are those who say Drupal is much more powerful and scalable. I just find it much more annoying to work with. It's a lot less friendly. I'm sure someone will be along to give the exact opposite opinion, but either way the top 2 OS-CMS's are Joomla and Drupal. ~C
I can not tell what's best cause it up to your using 1. for web2.0 social bookmark ,digg clone ..prefer pligg 2. for content CMS ,use viva (have ability like tagging ,commenting ) 3. for blogging ,use wordpress for non general web2.0 a lot in my opinion ,joomla is among the best ,drupal fallow. regards
Joomla does, but no idea about Drupal. I'm sure it does, but I haven't looked for it. http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,2150/Itemid,35/
depends really - on your requirements I been trying out Gelato CMS. Check demo here ( not much thought )
That depends on what you mean by "directly". You can paste HTML into a document. It's a button in the text editor that brings up a window for html. Most rich text editors work this way. ~C
