What is the best ways to promote a website/business for free?

 

Forums, blogs, twitter, facebook, many places if you do some research, good luck.

 

I like hosting contests or promoting with youtube videos.

Another angle on article marketing would include making a small website, optimizing a longtail domain name for the niche of articles you are going to write, get at least 3-5 unique articles up on your site with Wordpress. There's loads of plugins (like Sitemap generator, pingers, etc.) to help automate the task of SEO. **Get everything uploaded and optimized first before you let the site goes live.** You'll get indexed quicker this way.

enough time and energy on it.Promotion of a website is never an easy thing.Try and try all the time.Maybe practice
is the best free way.

Unless you're charging a lot....even PPC ads (IMO) suck. You have to get so many clickthroughs before you get a single sign up

Someone puts a password generator on and let's it run on your admin login for a bit and they might get in.

For adsense you may want to get your TOS and Privacy pages completed before someone from Google sees you do not have them and bans your account as they can be real a**holes when it comes to that.
But they won't ban you right off, they'll wait until you have some money built and due you before they say "you did not follow our terms so you get no money"

Promotions are done like all websites are done with 1000 different ways.
Pick one and master it then pick another. Though I believe you may already know this and are doing just that

 

high PR classifieds? what about vehicle sign? are you driving? put a sign on your vehicle and get free advertising
