yahoo answers bring traffic as well as provide backlinks. But the account gets suspended if it is against violation of Yahoo terms.I have seen many peoples they are promoting their websites effectively but i m unable to do that.Any one here who is successful in yahoo answers! Any tips?
The best way for this is try to give a neutral answer when answering the questions. Try not to be giving the readership you are selling something. Then you will be able to get through this.
I agree with lipan77, if your site is appropriate to the question, answer the question with detail and link your site. Might take a bit more typing and thought (only like 10 seconds more?), but it's worth it. Don't just spam your link everywhere.
just copy and paste an article you wrote on ezine and cut it up and slap it in unless you want to spend all day crafting things to write.
Answer a percentage of questions that aren't in your niche and don't link to your site - you don't need to copy and paste to do it - just answer some questions about - should I dump my boyfriend, is this dress nice, what's a good film out now - unless you're completely brain-dead and have no social skills at all, it'll take you less than 5 minutes to post a dozen "you're too good for him" "get the red dress, it's hot" "Moon is a great movie" replies
Try creating a resource before you answer a question. For example, say the person wants to know the best places to go diving in Bermuda. Do a quick Google search, compile a short list, and create a resource page for it. Go back to Yahoo answers and post a link to the resource. This way you giving them something they are looking for while getting them to your site/blog. I would focus on your website/blog niche.
It's no good for backlinks because they are nofollow. Just open multiple accounts and set-up questions for yourself.
Just answer the relevant questions according to your website so it will definitely help you and also give you huge traffic and backlink.
I've had some luck so far with yahoo answers, but didnt really spend that much time on it. When i get back from holiday ill try to do more.
I agree with twizzlers, If you are providing useful information, and source is also right I don't think Yahoo Answers have anything against you. And similarly atleast the interested people (who are looking to answer or interested in answer) will surely go through out website as well.
It depends on how you're doing it. I have a blog on the lunar landings, and I occasionally go onto Yahoo Answers and answer questions about the landings and use my blog for the research. I haven't had a problem with that yet. I assume because my answers are always actually useful rather than pure promotion.
I don't imagine it would be very good for posting affiliate links but it can increase traffic to your own sites, in my experience.
Here are some ways in yahoo answer that may help you - Do a search for questions in your particular niche market and find those questions which have not been answered yet: only try to answer these questions, as you'll gain more exposure from your current knowledge. - Use different email accounts for each topic you intend to use for advertising your products or services. This will protect you from getting completely suspended from Yahoo Answers, should Yahoo decide to do that. Note that once one Yahoo account is suspended, it is suspended forever with no chance of appeal. -Do not put your website link in all of your Yahoo answers. -Don't give more than 2-3 answers per day.
that is some great tips. i will hopefully start using yahoo answers to target my niche and drive traffic. i will let everyone know how i go on
The amount of time it is going to take you to try and squeeze some traffic out of Yahoo Answers without getting banned, would be much more effectively spent on other simple marketing methods. My advice with this - don't waste your time unless you have nothing else to do.
I agree completely. I got banned for absolutely no reason. I did not spam and my answers were almost all rated the best. I tried to contact them to ask them why they banned me and they just kept saying to read the guidelines, which I did..20 times. I did not break a single rule! Their customer support is awful and I had to lose my account after having built up a great reputation on there. Plus, the traffic from there was mediocre at best. And there was a very high bounce rate. Definitely not worth the time. -Danielle
Try to be as neutral as possible.Dont give any biased views about a website.Dont promote your affiliate links.Unless needed dont write the name any website in the resource box unless it is seriously needed
