To start with, are you really in seo or just getting started learning seo?

Anyway here is alist of steps that will help you

    1. Brainstorm your main keywords eg "dog training", "pet training" etc
    2. Go to https://adwords.google.com.au/select/KeywordToolExternal and search using the keywords from the above step. List them one per line
    3. Note any variation of the keyword that you could have forgotten and add it to your list
    4. Go to www.kwmap.net and search with your keywords to note any keywords you could add to your list.
    5. By now,you should have a huge keyword list to search with on https://adwords.google.com.au/select/KeywordToolExternal
    6. Glean through the entire list in the search results to note all the keywords that makes sense and add them to your list before exporting it (downloading it)
7 Search over on Google using allintitle:keywords (one at a time).
    8. Go for those with less than 1000 competing websites
9 Use them in your seo effort
