I've heard it's a great method for now...

 

As far as I know most people create facebook fan pages for their business, then share links on it for the audience to follow.
Have not seen anyone creating direct links, but same is used for youtube channel promotions, etc.

 

Why build a business based on Facebook notes when it's just as easy to do so on your own domain?

You can use your own site or use free blogger or wordpress blog (you can use azontheme to speed up).

Here is what I normally do when I write the articles and solutions.

1) Do search for 3-5 problem that people have and the product you're going to promote can help them.
2) Write 500-800 words article about the problem and solutions, with the product you recommended (product you promote).
3) Once your blog is done, find question/problem people ask on Yahoo Answer and leave useful comment with the link to your blog.
4) That's it.

I think link building helps most. It helps me at least. Build a site and promote your product using the site and generate backlinks.

I agree with the users who said to make micro niche stores. I been using this method for a long time with amazon and have done very well. It's much easier to rank a few small niche stores then it is to rank a store selling everything from electronics to baby diapers. I would recommend on creating a amazon store and then even a blog in a sub-folder. One example is my pressure cooker store http://thepressurecookershop.com and I just put a blog on it http://thepressurecookershop.com/blog, it's not done yet just basic wp theme. I then write articles on both platforms and link them up. The amazon script I'm using is Fresh Store Builder, one of the best scripts I have seen so far and I been using amazon for a while. If you are serious then create a good site devoted to post quality reviews, otherwise just spam with google sites, facebook notes, squidoo, blogspot, etc.
