What is the best way to monetize free hosting site? Obviously the answer is paid hosting. I would appreciate other members feedback on what could increase profitablity. for example, should I place larger ads, or send sales letters to my users? You could sign up for an affiliate network such as CB and advertise one of the products their and see if you make any sales ... if you have a lot of users, then u might want to send them an email advertising one of the products you are promoting.
Add........ After signup, each time a member logs in, give them the option to upgrade services to hosting (cj) provide a comparison chart of several hosts with your cj links... domain services etc.
I'm not sure why you have a banner for host gator which is your competitor. I don't think you want to give away your traffic to someone else. It might help to have more pics on your website and a way for us to see your demo cPanel. Are you Linux or Microsoft? Do you offer open source material? What is the price of the hosting? Does it offer all the other things that other webhosts offer? How is yours different, etc. Over all you have a pretty good salespage, but for a webhosting company, you may want to provide more technical aspects. The only other thing I can think of monetizing your site is if you offer to be an MLM like GDI. Read the rules carefully on how to go about that. You don't want to be accused of being a pyramid scheme.
My suggestion is to research keywords and focus your webhosting and domain around those keywords this will help you with reaching the appropriate audiences and definitely with affiliate marketing...
