I have been using google and facebook to market my business but i am not having much success. I am looking into business directories like lifetime memberships and so on. I have two blogs i write for and have advertised there but again my hosting site is a bit of a niche. Where else can i go to get targeted traffic. Google is good but at 20-25 a click without the certainty of a sale has wasted my time. What other ways of marketing that are cheap can i use and are business directories worth the 100+ dollars for lifetime members? Thank you
This isnt the 2000's anymore. There are no cheap methods of success. People do not understand what it takes before they put up a site these days; It takes a lot of time, so therefore, you will feel that you are wasting your time, but there are no easy roads to success, and cheap directories will not do anything for you, why do you think google hit them years ago? Awhile back, an affiliate said he spent $1000/mo over a two year period before he started seeing success, and he did not mean he had success, he just meant that he started to see a return on his investment, maybe he made it back, maybe he didnt... I am afraid you will not get very far with $100, and it certainly would not be fair to those that have been around for years, and for you to achieve success today with a mere $100; You have to earn your way, and you may have to spend a lot of money.... and this is assuming you are doing everything right to begin with, as there are no guarantee of success when you are online....
Hey Mybulen, I was thinking if you had a product with an affiliate program attached to it, you can leverage the power of affiliates. There are many factors involved in that as well to see some success. But it definitely works due to all the affiliates products for sale online. You also can purchase some deep research on your niche on fiverr or you can do it yourself, this way you will be able to discover your niche's pain points, problems, what makes them tick, where they hang out online and other demographics you can use in your ad campaigns, write more interesting website content or start a youtube channel catered to them. Also you can write small kindle ebooks and enroll in their Kindle Direct Publishing Select Program, thousands of targeted readers will be able to borrow your book for free where they can find the solution to their problem and learn more about you and your business. Make sure you send them to your website in your kindle ebooks. With the research retrieved from a VA on fiverr you can get unique articles written bundle them up and have a kindle ebook ready to go. Go for it!
not only that, it can take some time to acquire quality back links.... without good backlinks to good content, then you will never receive good traffic.... focus on quality content foremost, then back it up with quality link building....
Hello, also, you can use a lot of forums for it! Also, you can use this one! I agree with Peter, use FB ads, blogging, maybe even Instagram or Twitter!)
blog comment, social networking sites, classified submission related to your product niche - you can share your contents.
Thanks guys i have invested plenty money upfront, over 1000 dollars on facebook and google. I do agree that it takes time i cannot expect success over night. Awesome info thanks.
Good that you know you should be patient and invest money. Try to have fluid budget and test each medium before you fully commit to any of them in particular. See the returns and results and compare then decide which one sites your target better.
Long tails my brother and you need lots and lots of people posting on your site. Get Vbuletin or Xenforo on your sub directory. can you guys check my site https://www.kechosting.com can you tell me fi it looks dodgy or if it looks fine for the avergae user.
@Mybulen since you have no success with paid advertising so far, here's a few questions to ask yourself to narrow down the amount of people you're targeting: Who exactly are your ideal customers? (define the people in your target market) What problems your target customers have is your business solving? (this may yield targeted keywords) Where do your customers hang out? (what places, like blogs or websites to they visit? >> you can buy better targeted advertising there. What are your target customers looking for online (and are they looking for your kind of business on the internet at all or not?) You may want to introduce a way for them to sign up to your email list ... do you have an affiliate program? Google ads are not the only way to advertise your biz, but I'd need to know more details to help further.
@Mybulen feedback on your hosting portal landing page & a few ideas: 1) The banners look a little blurred compared to all the other visual page elements. 2) there are a few misspelled words like Parish instead of Paris for example. 3) I would ad a personal touch on your about page, so people can relate to a person 4) in terms of marketing, maybe try solo ads, but it's important you know beforehand what market you are targeting. 5) feels a bit like you'd need a proper marketing plan and a dedicated person to do the promotion work. 6) media ads run on websites that attract your kind of target audience. 7) maybe a package deal for internet marketers who have several websites running... Hope this helps.
I think what you need is quality traffic which you can achieve overtime when your visitors develop trust in you. To do this you must be confident of yourself and be ready to brandish your offer any where, any time. I would suggest you blog for other sites, where you earn for the traffic you generate while you develop a brand that will link visitors on those sites to your own site. I recommend starting a Facebook Fan page and post up good posts. I like FB's audience, it's good for lead capture.
fan page how is the different to normal page if i may ask? hmmm will investigate. A tip for people fivrr and other sites seem like a good avenue as well.
One free way and a surefire way to start is word-of-mouth marketing through communities and forums. It has to be done consistently to see results within a year, two and so on.
