    Ask these questions:

    1) What is my area of expertise e.g. computer
    2) What do my area of expertise users want in terms of information e.g. apple how to ...
    3) Write content that answers users demands.

I have never had much success with adwords or any PPC. It just eats up a budget. Even the best performing campaigns did not do much more than pay for itself.

I do much better offline. Local Radio is very cheap. LPTV is very cheap. Advertise in the classifieds around the country - if it is for a free give-away, many papers will run the ad free of charge. Post card campaigns have also worked great for me, but I have a targeted database of 3.5 million people to send to.

Concentrate on one project and make it profitable, then go to the next one.
Why you make several projects, when they are not profitable enough? That makes no sense.
If you have one project that makes good enough profit, then you can duplicate that again and again.
Therefore you have to work on one project until you reach your goal with it!
Test and improve it. Look where is the problem and learn how you can solve it. If you have too less traffic, research about traffic generation. If you have too little conversion, learn how you can maximize conversion.
If you get too little natural search engine traffic, learn to make better SEO.
Are your pages ranking good for any keyword phrases?
    Have you optimized them?
Did you go for the "long tail"? (you need to)

Find out how the ones are doing it, who are already successful. You know it's possible. If they can, so can you. You only need to do the right things.
And there are loads of material out there, where you can learn to do it right.

Set a goal, for example to increase conversion 50% on one site. then go for it. Learn which possibilities there are to reach that. Learn the common mistakes, that make bad conversion. Test and improve.

If another site has better conversion than you, you CAN do things to improve it. It's all about traffic and conversion. Get more traffic or improve conversion.
    That's all.
