Use a good book and if you can dreamweaver, but only build the site in the code view. It offers the best WYSIWYG in real time and HTML wizard. This way it is easier to correct yourself if you make a mistake which you most likely will. Otherwise you might get frustrated trying to handcode straight away in notepad.
