One of the reason why i dont get much traffic is because my keyword density is really low. What is the best way to increase it up to around 3% without actually stuffing it with keywords at the footer etc I can only see one way out at the moment... Editing the template in the number of spots eg: What's Going On in keyword keyword? Currently Active Users in keyword keyword: 6 (12 members and 40 guests) View Who's Online in keyword keyword Most keyword keyword users ever online was 35, Yesterday at 04:15 AM. etc
I don't think it would matter much to be honest... I haven't toyed with keyword density here, and traffic seems fine. In fact, I would even be worried that artificially inflating keyword density might be seen as a flag for someone trying to manipulate search results for Google.
But yet again you have thousands of backlinks. I have been doing some testing with keyword density on other two sites and not only i got to the first spot for competing (30+ million) keywords, it also seems like i have managed to avoid the sandbox. I may well post a little report some time soon. Im in the top 100 for my keywords at the moment. Il see if KD increase will give me a little boost. However you are right, i wont be doing anything major. Just a few changes. Its better to be on the safe side. Ta!
I'm with Mr. DP man here...I feel like spending your time worrying about keyword density in vB would be a wasted effort. Instead, I would worry about adding content to your forums...Not only will it make your members happen since they have more to read, but over time it will make the search engines happy as well. Give the SE's time, they'll crawl every square inch of your forums one day....time is just the biggest factor
