What is the best way to get traffic to my joke site?

I have just created a new jokes site. You can see it in my signature.

How would you go about it.

its the same way as you get traffic to your other two sites, what's the difference? social bookmarking, forum sigs, SEO, articles, presses, link exchange, posting comments in related sites?

 

best way is to trade links (to begin with)... and you 'should be continuously working on your seo

 

build alot of backlinks , and you will get nice serp.

 

I hear jokes sites don't pay much with adsense however.

 

I would generate mailing lists broken down by groups and types of jokes appropriate for them and hand pick some fitting jokes that you can lay out and leave the punchline out @ the end and make em click to load your site with the punchline.

i think we all have the same basics, the niche doesn't make so much diff, just a little bit

 

I truly believe you should do the regular seo process. pick some keywords that will bring traffic , and do SEO for them.

 

SEO and the standard methods of traffic building will work. I would also say focus on social sites such as Stumble Upon. Short jokes do well on these kinds of sites and I've seen joke sites build a reader base using SU.

But for long term traffic from search engines, you must do some Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

I glanced through your site and noticed that all of oyur pages have same title and meta description...this is very bad, and you should change it as your first step in SEO.

 

I don't think that are so much people interested in reading jokes. You should try to add also some funny pictures, videos, jokes scripts or something like that and then start the backlink building and try to improve your serps.
I don't think the cpa method will work, in my opinion cpa for this niche is useless.
