    You can try PPC.

Giving something away works well but they need to find out about it in the first place :)

Because so few sign up compared to the ones who go to the site or close the window, I think lead capture pages really aren't necessary, and this kind of method is highly overrated, but the above ideas are good ones. Also, set up a cool quiz they can take. They give you their e-mail address and name to see their results.

Set up a domain for each idea, and get 'em all working for you at the same time.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about here.

Lead captures do work and they work very well.;)

    1. PPC- This is a great way to drive traffic to a lead capture page (squeeze page). Find some good keywords, set a budget, and start the campaign. However, be sure that the page is optimized and attention grabbing, otherwise they will click and leave, and you don't want that. Also, if you are paying top dollar for clicks, make sure you have something on the back end, such as a one time offer.

    2. Article Marketing- This is My personal favorite, as it drives tons of targeted traffic, is easy to do, and only requires time. Write 10-20 articles about the subject, if possible, stuff them with keywords and good titles, add a resource box, and then submit them to Ezinearticles.com You can submit to more directories, but that's up to you. After a few days, you will noticed steady amounts of traffic. If they hit the search engines and get a top ranking, you will get streams of traffic; much easier said than done.

    3. Forum marketing- Basically, you are doing it now; well sort of. Find some niche forums, Add a signature file, and then begin posting. Make sure your signature file grabs attention and offers something worthwhile.

    4. Video Creation- If possible, create a short how to video or teaser video and upload it to Youtube. Answer a few questions and then tell the viewer that he/she can get more information by visiting your website, in this case your squeeze page.

    5. Buy Advertising Space in newsletters. Not many people do this, which is odd because it is so powerful. Find some newsletter publishers that have an active subscriber base and strike a deal. Obviously, you want the newsletter to be filled with targeted prospects who will actually visit your squeeze age, otherwise you'll be wasting your money. And keep in mind, the more subscribers, the more money it will cost for the ad space.

Hope These Tips Help, Cause I Got Plenty more.

    Sean.

Yeah, you're right, ernster. It's better to show it to a very small fraction of the site's visitors than all of them. Never mind that many of the ones who do sign up won't read them all.

You're right, lead capture pages are the way to go. What was I thinking?! *slaps forehead*

LOL...you can keep waiting for your SEO results to improve or your adsense checks to build up.

You may have enough money one day to be able to afford a marketing course:p

I have all of my lead caps work as "free memberships" to various websites. The idea is that they can access the members area for free so long as they create a membership. From there I net their e-mail and demographic information.

    Oh, and, um, "LOL"

I'm going to go start that lead capture page now. Thanks for straightening me out.

You think I'm mad over you? Ha!

Try and be a man and stop getting your kicks over putting everyone down on a Internet forum...surely you can build a meaningful life...it may not be too late for you.

You told the OP of this thread a lie, and I corrected you...be a man and take criticism.

Oh and start building a list:p

Oh, my! *blink blink* More to say!? You go, girl! Um, "Ha!"

jluyt, here's an example of what this particular guy is now doing. He's somewhat popular with single guys in their late teens and early twenties. He put a different spin on his old squeeze page by turning it into a quiz....

    http://www.doubleyourdating.com/m/18806/Meet_Women_Test/

He's pretty lame, but maybe something like his version can give you an idea. And if you do decide to do this method, you should consider setting up multiple sites, one for each idea, like the others gave you.

I already have the lead capture page... i need the traffic. it is under a domain which is not my website... completely separate from my site. PPC are pretty expensive... organic a little slow right now... social, not the best quality....

It's everyting you need to know to get started, plus the realities of "methods" that simply don't work.

Although I'm not a fan of it, for the reasons I gave before, I still wish you good luck with it.
