Hello everyone. Last week, a certain forum member posted a thread in which he offered, for a decent price, to perform directory additions. I contacted him via PM, discussed rates, and then I submitted my information for a couple of sites to him, and paypal'ed him the money. Up to that point he was extremely helpful, and quick to answer messages.Since that point he has dropped off the face of the earth. He refuses to reply to my PMs, even though he surfs the forum and posts daily. About a week has passed since I paypal'ed him, and no sign of any submissions etc. He doesn't seem like a scammer because he has some decent websites; He is not someone I would think would scam. I do not wish to post his name here, not on the initial post. I would, however, appreciate any advice in the best way to proceed with this. I realize that there is extremely slim to no chance I will ever see the money back. This doesn't bother me too much; easy come, easy go in the web world, but I would like to warn other forumites abot his 'services'. I doubt I was the only one taken for a ride with his services. Thank you for any advice
Well, if your having those kinds of problems - the best thing to do is get their name out in the open so nobody else gets ripped. Then, if he makes right he'll save face.
This has happened to me! If he was doing it for small money then dont get your pants in a twist (wedgey)! If it was big money eg: $50 - $70 give PM him and say im giving you two days to reply if not im taking this a step further... Step further is sueing..lol
Have to agree with mdvaldosta. If you've given the indiv. every opportunity to respond to no avail then they don't have concern over their rep or integrity. Do they have the option to send them an email via their profile on? Try that as a last resort and if no response, I look forward to reading your exposè.
mdvladosta: I don't wanna release his name just yet. I hav ebee banned from other forums for taking that apporach before! banana-man: This isn't enough to be worth a lawsuit, and paypal litigation doesn't cover these type of deals.
Caydel, Do post that persons name in case you dont hear from him or if his explaination is not legit.
I'd give them time to reply, after that, you pretty much have to post who it is so nobody else on here gets burned by that person sucks, I'm sorry
Give them 7 days from that reminder, just in case something is up with the guy. After that you can safely assume you've been ripped off from where on you can unleash the fury and let the world know who it was. We won't ban you for doing that though in the FAQ/Rules is something about member disputes. But yeah, after trying solving it privately, do let us know to save us from the same trouble.
If you are trying to save us from the same trouble please post the name here. Now I must wait for another few days before I pay for anybody here
