What is the best way to convert video files to flash to be played ...

    SUPER is one option. macromedia FLash 8 has an encoder too.

    How does it compare to On2 Technology's Flix Engine? What about comparison to ffmpeg? I assume it can be installed in my hosting server and users can upload files from their PC and be played from the site's internal flash player directly. Please correct me if I am wrong. Your help is appreciated.

    I think the proper extension is .flv to play in players like YouTube has.
