I have a list of about 50 affiliate sponsors (adult), and all the websites that are part of their network. I want to get an idea of what would be the best choices to work with etc. I am looking at the following information right now (I write it all down in Excel): - websiteoutlook.com -> Daily Page View, number of backlinks - quantcast.com -> Visits Per Month - compete.com -> Unique Visitors Per Month So I am basically gonna see what the traffic is, and how many backlinks each website has. Then I want to do some calculations and go from there. Does what I am doing make sense? Are there any better places to get info about websites, compare them, ang get a general idea what is what? Thank you.
Are you talking about deciding which sites to become an affiliate for, or are these potential affiliates for your own product?
Deciding which sites to become an affiliate for. I want to choose the best websites for micro-niche blogs to try to rank on the first page of Google (+ Yahoo and Bing) for specific keywords, for the most part. From what I'vee been doing I get a pretty good idea though - sites that look solid show solid numbers too, so I can get an idea what is going on and what I might be expecting etc. I want to base as much, of what I am gonna be doing, as possible on numbers and info that I can get from the internet - research like this, then keyword, competitive research etc... I think that if I'll try to start it the right way, it can save me some time later on...
I found some more info that can be collected, but maybe there is more... - Google Page Rank - Number of backlinks indexed by Google - Google Index - Alexa Reputation (number of backlinks) - Number of backlinks indexed by Yahoo - Yahoo Index - Bing Index
