I am advertising my clickbank products with Adwords, and I am curious. What is the best way to do so? I have my own landing pages, nothing special, but landing pages nonetheless that tell a bit about the product. From there, they click a link to the product if they are interested. Now my question is, what is the best way to do an ad? Should I have both the destination URL and the display URL set to my landing page? Or should I have the display url as my page, but the destination url as my hop link? Or should I have them both as my hop link? I read somewhere that its good to have the landing page in there for keywords sake. I also have noticed that even though I get clicks on my adwords (which cost a pretty penny i might add), no new hops appear. What should I do?
landing page as display URL...if the merchant allows it...and hoplink as destination URL... I wouldn't jump into PPC right away if you are just starting..learn a bit of marketing first... I know of a good guide called beating adwords...you can buy it from CB through your own HOPLINK...it is made by the makers of wealthy affiliate and it's a hot tool for Google PPC marketers...just look on CB for BEATING ADWORDS and then purchase through your own link.... also google Perry Marshall....he too has FREE info and some good books oN PPC... you can blow alot of cash FAST if you get lost in PPC M/crTech
There are plenty of ebooks on the net but many of them just summarize free info. Read something like red-fly-marketing blog just to start...
NO NO NO! BOTH the display URL AND the destination URL should be to your LANDING PAGE!!! Actually, it's even MORE important that the DESTINATION URL be set to your landing page. The display URL is just for display, so set it to anything you want, but the landing page or the landing page domain is good. You will get better results and more sales by using a landing page as opposed to going directly to your hop link. That's the whole point of making landing pages in the first place is because they get better results than linking straight to the merchant page. Otherwise no one would bother with landing pages at all. The landing page gives you an opportunity to pre-sell the visitor on the product before they go to the merchant's page through your hoplink. If you have a landing page, for someone to give you advice to make your destination link be your hoplink couldn't be more erroneous. However, if you want to learn, then yes, Beating Adwords would be a good choice. You could also opt for getting mentoring from Kyle and Carson directly by joining Wealthy Affiliate. That would be even better.
