I have been using the yahoo link factor from the seoquake for a rough estimate of the link counts. However, I find that if I try to go to the second page or export the list, I get an error almost everytime I try. I like the services like SEMrush and Compete, but their free services dont give out much info and they are quite expensive. I tried out once wordze.com and that was rather helpful for the keyword digger. I just wanted to check if there was an affordable tool that would tell you the keywords of your competitor and the traffic that is coming in from those keywords. If anyone has any insight, pleae share. thanks
Really, all those tools do is use advanced search operators via search engines and return maybe PR and\or anchor text. You can manually do this yourself; it's more of a pain, but just as effective and free since you still should physically review the links to begin with. Just use the search operator linkdomain:www.yoursitehere.com in Yahoo! search.
