Many thanks for your replies and will take on board the comments and as for whether its legal or not, there are a few other sites doing the same and are reaping it in so im sure its ok.....i hope lol. We'll soon see i suppose.
Most of the adsense revenue normally comes from ads that are placed just below Story Titles, and those ads are missing on your site. Try those out - you will be surprised.
I've found placing adsense close to content sources works best for me. That way once a person is done reading hopefully they will click through your ads
